.skinny lister

I heard one Skinny Lister song and decided they would be fun to check out live. Boy was I correct! With my friend Colleen accompanying me, we had a wonderful time. It was the first time I saw a show at the Milk Boy in Philly. The venue was quite small but a very intimate setting. Will Varney went on first then Beans on Toast. Both very funny with their stage banter and politically correct songs. When Skinny Lister came out it was one huge sing along. I would love to follow them around when they tour in the fall. It was like we had an extension of St. Patty's day or were about to embark on a pirate ship journey setting sail. I don't remember ever having this much fun at a concert. After the show was over we didn't stick around to say "hello" to the band but perhaps next time. Here is the set list that Colleen's friend Wendy so kindly gave to me...

WRECK
GEORGE
GAFF
COLOURS
CATHY
WINDS
OXFORD
REUNION
BOLD
KANAKA
ROLLIN
WANTED
POLKAS
17
HAMBURG
WAR
GRACE
40

They ended the show with everyone from their tour on stage since it was their last night. The band is currently recording their new album and promised to return in November. It seems like forever!
